ESS03KS 392 mm INOX Cap Dispenser — for the Operating Block, CSSD and IVF

ESS03KS 392 mm INOX cap dispenser — with transparent PETG front and ISO 7010 head-cover mandatory-action pictogram
ESS03KS 392 mm — INOX AISI 304, PETG front, vertical dispensing aperture. For surgical and bouffant caps in the operating block, CSSD, IVF and the sterile compounding pharmacy

The short answer

ESS03KS is a wall-mounted INOX 392 mm dispenser for disposable caps from the NexArmor line — AISI 304 (1.4301), transparent acrylic PETG front for stock visibility, vertical (002) or round (001) dispensing aperture depending on the cap type. Wall mounting via 3 fixing points (2 upper + 1 centre below) with M5 / ø6 mm wall plugs included. Installation time: ~15 minutes, single technician, drill + screwdriver. Standard applications: operating block, material airlock, CSSD, IVF embryology laboratory, sterile compounding pharmacy, procedure room. This article covers the full technical specification, cap-type compatibility, the map of medical sectors and the audit dossier delivered with the MedicLine offer.

A disposable cap is the least visible element of PPE in the donning sequence — and at the same time the first one that decides the dust particles and hair entering the clean zone. In general surgery, the splash of bacteria from the scalp raises the risk of surgical site infection (SSI). In IVF, a single organic particle above the incubator can damage the embryo. In the sterile compounding pharmacy, no cap means a breach of the GMP Annex 1 regime. The cap must be within arm's reach at the moment of entering the airlock — and this is precisely the function performed by the ESS03KS dispenser.

This article is for the person in your facility who assembles the hygiene zone equipment for the surgical team, embryologists or pharmacists — the operating block manager, the CSSD coordinator, the head of the sterile compounding pharmacy, the medical director. We show the full ESS03KS technical specification, the two dispensing aperture variants (for different cap types), dimensions and installation instructions with three fixing points on the back plate, the map of applications across six medical sectors, the audit dossier delivered with the offer, and the B2B ordering process at MedicLine.

Aperture selection per cap type. ESS03KS001 (round aperture) is for bouffant caps packed in bulk bags — one-at-a-time extraction through elastic insertion. ESS03KS002 (vertical aperture) is for surgical caps in 100-piece boxes — a flat element passes through the horizontal 1.0 cm slot without deformation. In both variants, the rest of the dispenser geometry is identical.

Wall mounting — installation detail

The ESS03KS 392 mm has 3 mounting points on the INOX back plate — distinguishing it from smaller models with two points, and simplifying installation compared with the larger 517 mm frame (4 points). Three points provide stability for a full cap box (up to 100 pcs) without a tendency to rotate around the vertical axis.

3 holes

392 mm frame (ESS03KS)

2 upper + 1 centre below. The mounting triangle provides stability without overloading a single point. Ideal for procedure rooms and operating block airlocks with limited wall space.

4 holes

517 mm frame (reference)

3 upper + 1 below. The larger frame requires an additional mounting point for a full bulk box and better load distribution. For operating theatres and zones with high staff throughput.

Mounting procedure in 6 steps: (1) mark the position of the 3 holes using a template (or directly through the back plate), (2) drill ø6 mm holes (35-40 mm depth), (3) insert the wall plugs, (4) fasten with the M5 screws, (5) check level with a spirit level, (6) apply the ISO 7010 M017 pictogram if applied on site. Total time per dispenser: ~15 minutes.

Cap-type compatibility

Aperture 001 (round)

Bouffant caps — bulk bag

Classic non-woven caps with elastic, packed in 100-1000 piece bags. Elastic and compressible — they pass through the round 001 aperture one at a time, without deformation. Standard in procedure rooms and operating-block reception areas.

Aperture 002 (vertical)

Surgical caps — 100-piece boxes

Surgical caps with an elastomer, packed in standard boxes. A flat element passes through the 1.0 cm horizontal slot. Standard in the operating block material airlock and the sterile compounding pharmacy.

Aperture 002 (vertical)

Net caps — compact boxes

Light net caps for short procedures and rooms of lower cleanliness classification. Also flat boxes — 1.0 cm vertical slot.

Aperture 001 (round)

Compact caps — surgical turbans

Caps for neurosurgical teams with a longer lower section. Packed in elastic bulk bags — extraction through the round aperture.

Six medical sectors — where ESS03KS is the standard

Operating theatre

Operating block — material airlock

Every member of the surgical team puts on a cap before entering the clean zone. ESS03KS 392 mm in the narrow airlock corridor. Vertical aperture for boxed surgical caps.

CSSD

Central sterile services — packaging zone

Caps for staff packing sterile sets. INOX front for visual consistency with the stainless zone. Distribution right at the heat-sealer workstation.

IVF

Embryology lab — entry airlock

The ISO 5 air above the incubator does not tolerate hair particles. The cap before entry is an admission condition. ESS03KS in the narrow IVF airlock corridor.

Sterile compounding

Sterile pharmacy — Grade B zone

GMP Annex 1 requires full hair coverage in Grade A/B rooms. ESS03KS before the material airlock, optionally another inside the airlock on the clean side.

Cytostatic

Cytostatic compounding pharmacy

Work in a Grade A isolator with cytotoxic drugs. Cap + FFP3 mask + gown + sleeves are the standard kit. ESS03KS for caps in the workroom behind the isolator.

Microbiology

BSL-2 laboratory

Procedures with risk group 2 biological material. The cap as a barrier between hair and aerosols. ESS03KS at the entry to the microbiology workroom.

Audit dossier delivered with the offer

With every B2B ESS03KS quote from MedicLine you receive a complete set of 8 audit documents from the NexArmor manufacturer, ready to file in your facility's supplier folder. No "ask the manufacturer", no waiting for cross-border correspondence. The full list is in the 11-standard regulatory map. The most important for ESS03KS:

  • Manufacturer's ISO 9001:2015 certificate for NexArmor — quality management system.
  • ISO 14001:2015 certificate — environmental system (for facilities with an ESG policy).
  • AISI 304 material declaration (1.4301) — grade, chemical composition, heat number.
  • ESS03KS technical data sheet — dimensions, installation instructions, cleaning protocol.
  • ISO 7010 M017 confirmation — head-covering mandatory-action pictogram.
  • Made-in-Germany traceability — NexArmor, Bad Herrenalb.

Graphic-layer personalisation

The ESS03KS front is neutral by default, but the graphic layer is fully customisable — without affecting product life or violating the ISO 7010 normative pictogram. Three customisation levels in the standard MedicLine offer price:

  • M017 pictogram (head-covering mandatory) — factory-applied or as a self-adhesive sticker for in-house application.
  • Bilingual caption PL + EN under the pictogram for facilities with international staff.
  • Facility logo in the graphic layer — while keeping the normative sign intact. See the pictograms article.
